what is the meeting planner store?

Think of yOur favorite coffee shop, but it's filled with people who truly get you. They know your shorthand, the crazy life you lead, and understand why you do what you do. They get the stress of the moment—and how you also need a place to let go, be yourself, and relax. Find your people and have a laugh. so Come on in, take a look around, join the conversation, explore the resources, and see if anything in the shop catches your eye. We're glad you found us!

I’m told that an image of “Planners at work” is what we need on our homepage to convey who we are. However there are two options here:
A) Sitting at a desk with multiple screens, and at least 15 tabs open

B) On-site, speed-walking from one room to the next, head down, responding to the text that just came in with either a request for AV help, more food, AV help, a late check-out, AV help, or, staff saying, “Thanks for your help today, I’m headed out.”

Because of this, you get actual post-it notes from my desk :)

Why are we so salty?

Because here, we can be. Like you, we’re usually watching our p’s and q’s—on client calls, in C-suite meetings, going over budgets with accounting. We’re constantly explaining ourselves professionally, often to people who think they know what we do but don’t know what we do. We work with people who make decisions that impact our events, yet may not have the hands-on experience we do.

Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy people, and the people I work with (it’d be hard to do this if I didn’t!). But let’s be real—sometimes, we all need a place to just let loose. And that’s what the Meeting Planner Store is about. Here, we’re with people who really get it, where we can relax and let down our guard. You can, too.

So yes, we may be a bit salty here—but we’re also a pretty nice bunch, and we’re guessing you are, too.

And if you aren’t? Well, maybe this isn’t the place for you.

*not actually us but they look so damn cheerful, I couldn’t help myself. I know I would want them cheering me on!

Meet the Team

  • Tricia Simmons

    CEO, Founder, Crazy Cat Lady

  • Mollee Gleason

    Business Manager

  • Frankie Palmer

    Event Planner, Support Services

  • Garrett Simmons

    IT Manager

Tricia – With over 16 years under her belt - she’s seen a lot. She started in registration and somehow stuck around to become a mastermind behind meetings with 70+ concurrent sessions and 6,000+ people. If it sounds intense, it’s because it is—but Tricia’s been through it all (and she’s probably got a spreadsheet for that).

Frankie – The rookie with stories. With just over a year of planning, Frankie’s already lived through a lifetime of “you can’t make this up” moments. Somehow, she’s still here—bring on the chaos.

Mollee – The powerhouse behind the store. Mollee makes sure everything actually happens—yes, literally everything. If it’s in the store, set up, or running on time, you can bet Mollee’s the reason. She's the glue that keeps our (sometimes sticky) operation together.

Garrett – Our fearless IT pro. He has the patience of a saint and the ability to talk us all down when we are ready to throw our computers out the window.
